About SysMicro

We connect the systems behind your business.

SysMicro is a technology consultancy. We work with organisations whose systems have grown faster than the thinking behind them — and we make those systems work together.

01Who we are

SysMicro works at the point where business processes meet the software that is supposed to support them. That is a narrower position than 'IT services' and a deliberately chosen one. It is also where most of the expensive problems in an organisation actually live.

We are not a hardware reseller, and we do not sell licences. That matters, because it means our recommendation is not shaped by what we happen to have on a price list. When we say a platform fits, it is because it fits.

Our work spans software, AI and automation — the three things named in our identity — applied to the operational reality of businesses that need them to work on Monday morning.

02What we believe

Four positions that shape what we recommend — including when what we recommend is less work, not more.

  • 01

    Start with the business

Every technical decision should trace back to something the organisation is trying to achieve. If that line cannot be drawn, the decision is not ready to be made.

  • 02

    The simplest thing that works

Sophistication is not a goal. The best solution is the one your team can operate, afford and understand after we've gone.

  • 03

    Say the inconvenient thing

If a project should be smaller, delayed, or not done at all, that is what we will tell you — even when a larger engagement would suit us better.

  • 04

    Leave it maintainable

Documentation and handover are part of delivery, not an optional extra. A solution that only we can maintain is a liability we created.

03The problems we solve

If more than a couple of these describe your organisation, we are probably a useful conversation.

  • 01Systems that each work individually but cannot exchange information
  • 02Processes that live in spreadsheets because the real system does not fit them
  • 03Reporting assembled by hand, arriving late, and quietly distrusted
  • 04An ERP or CRM that was implemented for a business you no longer are
  • 05Repetitive, high-volume work consuming skilled people's time
  • 06Technology decisions being made one purchase at a time, without a roadmap
  • 07Infrastructure nobody wants to touch because nobody fully understands it
04How an engagement usually starts

No lengthy procurement ritual. The first step is a conversation, and it costs nothing.

  1. 01

    A conversation

You describe what isn't working. We ask questions. By the end we both know whether this is something we can genuinely help with.

  2. 02

    A short assessment

Where the situation isn't yet clear, we scope a focused piece of discovery with a fixed cost and a defined output — so you get something usable even if you stop there.

  3. 03

    A proposal you can read

Scope, sequence, assumptions and what is explicitly out of scope — written to be understood by the people paying for it, not only by technologists.

  4. 04

    Delivery in increments

Work is sequenced so something useful lands early and often, rather than everything depending on one distant go-live date.

Working with us

We take on work where we can be genuinely useful, and we are direct when a project isn't a fit. If you're weighing a technology decision and want an independent read on it, that is a conversation worth having before the decision, not after.

Have a technology challenge?Let's figure it out.

Tell us what isn't working. If we're the right people to help, we'll say so — and if we aren't, we'll say that too.
